RAS2017 Regional Training Course on Evaluation of Energy Options, Including Nuclear Power, as Nationally Determined Contributions ( NDCs ) for Climate Change Mitigation in Vienna, Austria, from 2-6 October 2017.

The IAEA is organizing the above mentioned training course  within the framework of the IAEA technical cooperation Project RAS2017 "Assessing the Economic Viability of Alternative Energy Supply Options to Meet Energy and Water Challenges in ARASIA Region" in Vienna, Austria' from 2-6 October 2017.

The purpose of the course is to help strengthen local expertise for evaluating energy options, including nuclear power, to assess their role in combating climate change, and explore the possibilities for regional cooperation.

The training course will cover the various subjects relating to (NDCs) for climates change mitigation.

This course will focus on modelling energy-climate interaction and technologies within MESSAGE framework and is not meant to be a MESSAGE course for beginners.
